Can Man Speed up The Second Coming of Christ?

The second coming of Christ is a topic that has been on the mind of Christians since our Lord’s ascension back to heaven. The apostles and disciples lived in expectancy of the Lord’s return during those days. They never saw that day arrive and it has been about two thousand years since.

The apostles did write much about the second coming of Christ and warned about the callous and indifferent attitudes during the days prior to our Lord’s return.

1 Thessalonians 3:13: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 4:15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1 Thessalonians 5:23: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:1: Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

James 5:7: Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

James 5:8: Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

2 Peter 1:16: For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 Peter 3:12: Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

No matter how much we wish to see the day of our Lord’s return during our lifetime, it is not in the hands of anyone who could decree this from occurring according to our desire and will. The useless modern English perverse bibles promote false teachings on this doctrine of the second coming of Christ. They teach human effort is possible to bring about and bring forward this event without regard to what the Lord Himself already told His disciples in time past.

Mark 13:32: But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Acts 1:6: When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Acts 1:7: And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Here is another article by Brother Will Kinney exposing these false bibles promoting false doctrines.

Those who claim that the modern English versions do not change Bible doctrines are just plain ignorant and too lazy to do a comparative study with the King James Bible or they are just blatantly dishonest biblically and intellectually.

Nevertheless, Christians have been exhorted to look forward to the second coming of Christ whether we see that day during our lifetime this side of heaven because there is a promise of rewards for those who love the Lord’s appearing.

2 Timothy 4:8: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

If this event doesn’t occur during our days, we still go to our Saviour.

Either way, we are victorious.

All glory to God!
