Desiring the Mark of the Beast

Revelation 13:16: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Revelation 13:17: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Revelation 13:18: Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Such strange and cryptic pronouncement seems farfetched, especially hundreds years ago. Christians in the past must have great faith to believe such revelation beyond their wildest imagination.

Fast forward to our day and age, such technology is already here and has been used on animals for quite sometime now for tracking and data analysis. It is progressively being used on humans and inevitably, it is becoming desirable to receive the mark in the body by certain people for reasons best known to them.

Recently, some diehard soccer fans in Argentina are clamoring to have microchips implanted in them so they can literally carry their beloved club inside of them. This microchip, also known as the Passion Ticket, will allow them to enter the gates of the stadium by scanning the chip in their hand. For the moment, this chip doesn’t have a GPS tracker to track the members but just serves as a record of their membership data and subscription. One thing is sure. Receiving a mark is going to be popular and even desirable. There are many good reasons to justify having a mark literally where your identity cannot be stolen. It is also very convenient to have all your information with you in the chip and you don’t have to carry cash with you and a whole bunch of credit cards and membership cards as well. Better still, have all your medical records in the chip which would be very useful during an emergency.

However, this is inevitably moving in the direction where global control of the human population during the end times becomes possible. Absolute control by the antichrist and his system will ensure these recipients forfeit their chance of salvation and eternal life.

Revelation 14:9: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Revelation 14:10: The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Revelation 14:11: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Revelation 16:1: And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Revelation 16:2: And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Receiving the mark is not so harmless after all. It is not just a trade off for convenience and security but a deception to worship the antichrist. World trend on the popularity and desirability to receive the mark of the Beast will seal the doom for many.

2 Thessalonians 2:9: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2 Thessalonians 2:10: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Thessalonians 2:11: And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Thessalonians 2:12: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

It is definitely getting exciting but nonetheless, terrifying for those left behind when the Lord calls His bride, the Church, home. This is when the nation of Israel will take centre stage again to be purified during the times of Jacob’s trouble just prior to the Millennial Kingdom of peace and rest under the reign of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Tax authorities in many countries are investigating information from the leaked papers. Those who have done fishy business are scrambling for cover.

It is scary to have your secrets exposed, privacy bared and stand naked before the public to be examined. Some may take delight in such spectacle to watch people fall. While some of these people exposed here may very well be deserving of such disgrace, it is another thing to rejoice in evil.

Proverb 24:17: Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Proverb 24:18: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

When you watch in glee your enemies or those people you don’t like get exposed, be prepared for the day decreed from above where everyone would have a chance to stand exposed for all deeds done in this life to be judged.

Romans 2:16: In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

You think we can keep secrets forever? The thought of having to be judged by the Lord is much scarier than this Mossack Fonseca affair.

Luke 8:17: For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

Mark 4:22: For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

So be sober and walk in humility. None of us shall be exempted from the day of reckoning.

Acts 17:31: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Matthew 12:36: But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Romans 14:12: So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

1 Peter 4:5: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

2 Corinthians 5:10: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Ecclesiastes 12:14: For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Charles Darwin was no ‘Heroic Genius’

Charles Darwin was no ‘heroic genius’ according to a new study saying we can all take credit for science’s greatest discoveries.

This is the latest findings from a joint research at the London School of Economics and Harvard University. This does not mean evolution is the subject of dispute and has come into disrepute by top scientists.

Rather than giving too much credit to Charles Darwin, this paper suggests that everyone has a part to play in new discovery and advancement.

It is reported that we are contributing to modern science through social networks with our “collective brains”.

Innovations from the likes of Darwin, Albert Einstein or Steve Jobs arise through societies and social networks acting as “collective brains”, scientists claim.

Well, it certainly took a long time for scientists to realize that we are all moving in the same direction as far as advancement is concerned.

If only we read the scripture with a Bible believing heart we would have known that knowledge shall increase during the End-Times.

Daniel 12:4: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

We have moved off from the lowly horse carts as means of transportation to trains and automobiles. We have now taken to the skies through jet aircraft cutting short travelling time between two locations unimaginable 150 years ago. NASA is now talking about developing a quieter supersonic passenger jet and travelling time would become even shorter.

What about space flights and satellites now orbiting the earth? It is getting more remarkable by the day.

Knowledge has increased exponentially in the last century.

This is indeed great news for us.

Luke 21:28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

James 5:8: Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

Fantastic Trip

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? These questions were asked by God and Job had no answer. None of us would be able to answer anyway.
