Seas

Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. (Psalms 104:5-9)

Property buyers then to choose a unit with a sea view due to its fascinating and beautiful feature especially to catch a sunrise or a sunset over the calm blue sea. While the sea has a magnetic attraction for men to desire its charms, the Holy Bible tells a rather different story.

Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? (Job 38:8)

So the sea has an aggressive nature. Its waves are said to be proud. Those who have witnessed the destructive power from a tsunami would certainly concur with the scriptures.

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 1:13)

The sea can be described to be angry with raging waves as well and thus while the sea may be interesting and even beautiful but only the Lord can tame this restless nature of the sea.

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! (Matthew 8:24-27)
