Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

Salvation is not a making a decision or just going through a sinner’s prayer though it involves a decision and a prayer crying out to God to save a sinner. This salvation is freely made available to fallen men for those who would seek after God in true humility and repentance.

Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: (Isaiah 59:1)

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, (Titus 2:11)

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:6-9)

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)

No one can claim that God did not give him a chance to come to know Him. Here is the testimony of a man who against all odds came to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. You will no doubt glorify this great and gracious God who is still actively saving those whose hearts will seek after Him.
