Comparing Spiritual Things With Spiritual Stuck with sign gifts

STUCK WITH SIGN GIFTS

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1 Corinthians 1:22

Many professing Christians are beyond correction. They are so adamant against biblical truth that no one can talk any sense to them. One particular hang-up in Christendom is concerning signs or sign-gifts. It cannot be any clearer from biblical injunction that signs are for the Jews. Yet, many eagerly seek after signs or sign-gifts to prove that they are “spiritual” or are “useful” to God and the Body of Christ when none of them are ministering to any Jews in any meaningful way possible. So they blabber like barbarians and act cute before many deceived followers like them.

While some get stuck in Acts 2:38 and others with Noah or the law of Moses, some prefer to be stuck with apostolic sign gifts. From time to time some would ask whether you speak in tongues. They are not asking whether it is biblical to speak in tongues. They are hoping to impress you so that you may praise them for their “spirituality” hoping that they might be able to lay hands on you so that you might also receive such gifts. Such clowns are dime a dozen these days.

Yes. I do speak in tongues and I speak with my tongue. I speak several tongues and when I speak in tongues, those people who heard me understood what I am saying. By the way, I speak in tongues before I get saved and I continue to speak in tongues where my hearers could understand me after I get saved. I didn’t get drunk and make strange noises in church to impress others. I speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Teochew, etc. I don’t make animal noises called tongue to impress some gullible Christians thinking that I am supper spiritual. There are many fakers out there trying to impress some gullible young Christians to lead them astray. In fact, idol-worshipping mediums make strange noises call tongues as well. So I hope you are not too impressed by these religious fakers. I practise what the apostle Paul did.

Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. (1 Corinthians 14:19)

I probably speak more tongues than those self-conceited charismatic nutcases who are trying to impress me with their tongue gifts.

Try telling these tongues speaking religious fakers to practise 1 Corinthians 14:19, you will drive them up the wall.

How about writing in tongues? I could write in tongues too.

Let’s see whether these tongue-speaking charismatic can interpret what I am trying to tell them.

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
3 John 9-11
