INSANE AND SANE CHRISTIANS
“For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.” (2 Corinthians 5:13)
While recently researching so-called Christian rock music I visited the professed Christian rock band P.O.D.’s website and was exposed to what was literally the most loathsome, vile and degenerate bunch of lunatics that I have ever encountered on the Internet since I examined Marilyn Mansion’s fan websites some years back. I have already described this wicked band in previous articles, so I will quickly summarize it here. They dress like LA street thugs, relate to openly satanic Rock bands, wear their hair in dreadlocks and call their god Jah as do devil-infested Rastafarians (which they obviously are), and display fondness for various symbols of Satanism and witchcraft, such as the triquetra, the satanic salute (horn sign), triple sixes, and a number of different symbols from Voodoo. I would suggest reading the excellent articles of Terry Watkins for a more thorough description of these thinly disguised Satanists. My recent attention was concentrated upon the “my space” section of their website, which is where their fans and friends are able to post their comments and to provide links to their own websites or blogs. Many of the linking photos provided and apparently approved by P.O.D. were pornographic or demonic. One was of a young woman dressed in sexy lingerie lifting up her panties to clearly expose her genitals. Another was a large drawing of a hand forming the satanic horn salute (no extended thumb to disguise it as the deaf sign for love as Satanists sometimes do). I took the following sampling of the sites in random order, so the following list is not a list of the worst sites that I culled out for their wickedness. This is what I found in the order that I found them, leaving out only those sites that provided no information to those who were not pre-approved by the blog owners.
A rock band’s site called Metal Sanaz is one of the first listed as a friend of P.O.D. This is an X-rated site that promotes sexual promiscuity, drunkenness, and satanic rock bands. The band promotes their album called “Hey f****** Metal Baby. Its cover is the barely clad backside of a young woman, which is also the photo that is used for the link on P.O.D.’s site.
A pornographic site of a CeLeSTTiaNi lists her favorite bands, which are all secular and openly satanic rock bands. Among her favorite books are listed numerous New Age and witchcraft works, including books of Alleister Crowley and Edgar Casey. Not surprisingly no reference to the Bible or Christ is found on this site other than The Last Temptation of Christ, which is a blasphemous attack against our Saviour.
The site of a “man” named Adam displays the satanic salute, links to many satanic rock bands, and pornographic nude photos, as well as a photo of two lesbians licking each others’ tongues. This site would be open to any of P.O.D.’s youthful fans.
A site promoting “tribal clique,” which includes foul language, pornography, photos of tattooed thugs with demon-infested glares trying successfully to look violent and menacing, and a number of satanic salutes, as well as gang hand gestures. No pretense to Christian faith is to be found on this site.
An Austrian site highlights and quotes the demonic joker from the Batman movie played by Jack Nicholson: “”Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?” This fan displays an ad for a secular rock site with the statement “Nothin’ but kick *** rock.” This fan also lists his favorite films, which are graphically violent and full of sexual perversion and debauchery. It is noteworthy that his Austrian friends’ correspondence show a childish level of German language competence comparable to the incompetence of American rock fans.
A site from Mikhalt (a band or producer of music for films) includes many photos of scantily dressed women, including one of a woman in a see-through blouse with her breasts clearly visible with the statement “You have the right to be sexy.” It also includes a gory film clip of a woman chucking a spear into the head of another woman, and references to the enhancement of male genitalia.
A Polish blog is sponsored by a depressed, sexually frustrated woman that does not appear to have anything whatsoever to do with Christ, but much to do with rock music that is stated to be her drug and her soul. An Egyptian ‘ankh is displayed on this site.
There is an eye-searing site of an Anita James that includes pornographic photos and site connections to numerous secular rock and rap bands, many (probably all) of which are perverted, violent, satanic, moronic, and extremely pornographic. Foul and violent language is prolific on her and her friends’ blogs.
A blog of one young woman includes links to pornographic sites of a professed playgirl who promotes stripping, the blog of Hugh Hefner, and the blogs of numerous other degenerates. I saw no false profession of Christian faith on this blog, but only references to sexual interests.
This is just a small sampling of the friends of P.O.D., but there are hundreds more that are just as loathsome. All of these sites showed a great love for regular rock and roll music. The same bands that the Christ-hating open Satanists and immoral hedonists of our youth love are mentioned and linked up with virtually all of these fans’ sites. Most of them include pornography, or at least photos of scantily dressed women and men, many of which are in sexually suggestive poses. Modesty is completely and totally lacking in these fans. Most of them are not pretending to be Christians or are blatantly anti-Christian. Foul language is common to most of them, including many of those claiming to be Christians (also common to the senseless hate letters that these fake Christians send to critics of “Christian” rock). There are undoubtedly some that are not yet turned over to a reprobate mind, and should be prayed for, but most will be ones that will be helping to murder real Christians (or fundies and legalists as they call Bible-believing Christians) when the Antichrist purges get in full swing. Most are dressed like pagans or lunatics, being covered with tattoos, including ones with satanic symbols, and body piercings. Sexually suggestive photographs abound, but they may be equal or exceeded by the huge number of people with completely evil demeanors. Many of these friends of P.O.D., both men and women, look like the most evil of thugs. They glare into the camera with menacing looks that speak of hatred and violence. These are people that you would not want to meet on the street, especially not in a dark alley. This includes the members of P.O.D. themselves. There is no sign of a Christlike demeanor in this crowd, and no sign of meekness, charity or love. Both P.O.D. and many of their fans look like they are Possessed Of Devils, as vast amounts of evidence indicates that they are. None of the fans on the P.O.D.’s site offer anything whatsoever resembling a true Christian testimony or give any evidence that they have the slightest understanding of the Gospel message, or that they know the meaning of repentance and separation, and most are open in their rebellion against God. By studying this fan base, following their own links, and by examining their own professed likes and dislikes, one will be exposed to the lowest filth and perversion that can be found on the Internet. P.O.D.’s website is the kind that should be blocked by parental and library smut filters.
The fact that this lowlife band and their lowlife fan-base could be perceived by anyone at all to represent Christianity is mind boggling. Authors like Jonathan Swift and Lewis Carroll would have no place in our modern society because the reality of modern times has become so insanely ridiculous and ludicrous that there is no satire, no matter how absurd, that can compare to it. The modern “Christian” reaction to this band, and bands like it, are not just evidence of a dumbed down and insane society, but of a society that no longer thinks at all.
While looking over the P.O.D. fan mail, I came upon the blog of a woman whose blog could not be entered without her approval, but which did display the first clause of 2 Corinthians 5:13 from the NIV:
“If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; [if we are in our right mind, it is for you.”]
I have included both clauses because it is necessary for illustrating the purport of the Westcott-Hort perversions as compared to the inspired English version, as well as the Greek versions. This deceived young woman, by using the most popular of the modern satanic Bible versions, is associating insanity with Christianity. This is a perfect quote for the modern Antichrist worshiping modern apostate Christians who are indeed insane.
The fans of so-called Christian rock, especially those of the rock bottom of that mindless form of music, such as P.OD. and Stryper, may be some of the weirdest and tasteless of the inhabitants of the loony bin of false Christianity, but they are by no means the only loonies in the freak show of the modern church (one of the most popular pseudo-Christian rock bands actually uses the term freak show in a positive sense).
Many of the churches, seminaries, and divinity schools of America make lunatic asylums look sane. Divinity schools and seminaries like Harvard Divinity School (HDS), the oldest one in the country, promote abortion and shun those who oppose this slaughter. They refuse to even use the name of Jesus, but rather refer to him as “the J word.” Feminism, gay and lesbian studies, socialist activism, and left-wing thought control share the bill with Witchcraft, Hinduism, Buddhism, and pseudo-Catholicism for the attention of most of the incompetent scholars and mentally ill students. A former HDS dean was fired after tens of thousands of pornographic photos were found on his university office computer. He was demoted to Professor of Christian Ethics and Morals. His replacement is an Islamic studies specialist and sycophant. A previous dean, Krister Stendahl, is a foul member and advocate of organizations devoted to promoting the murder of babies in order to control population. Not long ago a pro-abortion lesbian and an atheistic ex-Nazi (who jokes about the Greek practice of murdering babies) were teaching New Testament courses. The latter “ex”-Nazi is a popular figure on cable television programs Antichrist-oriented programs about the New Testament. A lesbian who used to be a man before a sex change operation was doing an M.Div. there in the eighties. More recently, at least two men who used to be women were studying in the ministerial program, in addition to at least one other man to woman creation. The sodomite minister of Harvard Memorial Church and professor of preaching at HDS, like churchmen all over the country, is not only condoning sexual perversion, but promoting the ordaining and hiring of homosexuals, and so-called same sex marriages (which is a contradiction in terms, and therefore an impossibility). A statue of Lucifer holding a pyramid with the all-seeing-eye is actually on the building.
Schools like Graduate Theological Union, Union Theological, and Yale Divinity are no better. A former close acquaintance informed me that oral sex could be seen between lesbians in the open courtyard of the dormitories of Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is not something that would be seen in places that are actually called mental hospitals or asylums.
Schools like these are infiltrating the churches of America and are spreading their filth like cancer. Most of these schools do not believe the Bible, nor do they even respect or like it. Schools like HDS openly attack it, and express undisguised hatred toward Jesus Christ. I see abundant evidence of the influence of these modern seminaries and divinity schools even in schools and churches that claim to be somewhat conservative, and in old churches attended by senior citizens that claim to have Christian values and morals. Schools like these are providing the “scholarship” for the new Bible versions, as well as the “scholars” that are producing them. Christians who claim to be conservative actually allow such people to lead them. These “conservatives” may be the worst loonies of all.
While street preaching in front of First Community Church in Columbus, Ohio, after they announced that they would be “marrying” men to men and women to women, I read what the Bible says about such abominations and had women in their seventies and eighties cover their ears with their hands. One even started chanting, “I’m not listening, nah nah nah, I’m not listening.” While attending a wedding in an old Methodist church in Ohio, I found a modern hymnal full of New Age hymns, hymns to Mother Earth, and to the Great Spirit (which certainly does not refer to the Holy Spirit of the Bible). Real Bibles are not to found in such churches, and members of some churches, like the last mentioned one, do not even bring any kind of Bible to services.
Professed conservative churches and parachurch organizations are often no more sane than the so-called liberal ones. They may claim to be conservative, Bible-believing churches, but attack the word of God through the deceitful art of Bible correcting, and through the use of Westcott-Hort perversions of Scripture, which is the exact same practice carried out by the Bible-hating New Age churches, seminaries and divinity schools. We have half-baked and limp-wristed creation scientists who claim to defend the Bible, but cannot even define a Bible outside of the chaotic mess created by the pro-Darwin, pro-Marx, and pro-Blavatsky duo of Westcott and Hort and their even wackier successors.
These “Bible-believing” scientists actually put copyright notices for their chosen apostate Bible versions at the front of their books so that the anti-Christian and apostate Christian publishers will get their credit, instead of using the Bible that was used to spread the Gospel before the great falling away of the late 19th century. Similarly we are seeing maximalist biblical archaeologists (those that profess to fully believe and follow the Bible) correct the Bible based on false atheist propaganda. Most of these “maximalists” go so far as to draw the routes of the exodus and manage to go around the Red Sea instead of through it. Lunatics abound.
We have snakes who call themselves “Christian” attorneys that slither into churches in order to convince them to sign pacts with the satanic international banking cartel known as the IRS giving Satan lordship over their churches instead of Jesus.
One of worst of these evil scoundrels even had a real man of God imprisoned by voluntarily assisting the IRS in their effort to destroy his creation science ministry. Not surprisingly this Christ-headed ministry stood by the King James Bible as opposed to the IRS/Satan headed creation science organizations that use perverted, lunacy-pushing Bibles. The lunatic asylum of the American church makes Bedlam of England look like a high powered think tank.
Mega-churches across America are filling up their pews with lunatics who babble meaningless gibberish (assuming that they are not cursing God in unknown tongues). Parasitic preachers are promoting prosperity messages that contradict everything that the Bible says say about wealth. Millions of dollars are given by the naive followers of these con-men under the most ridiculous of pretenses. Just yesterday I heard one of these parasites claim that anyone who sends him 1,000 dollars by credit card will have their credit card debt wiped out by God. In our lunatic culture, there is no doubt that he will get many responses. Drunkenness, slaying in spirits, laughter, barking like dogs, falling to the floor, twitching, mock child bearing, running around in circles, and trance-like strutting and swaying are seen in Pentecostal and other churches across America and Canada. Anyone who wants to see evidence of some very serious and widespread lunacy should watch the films of Joseph Chambers of Paw Creek Church. Not only do his films capture some of the wackiest behavior that one could imagine that is going on in some of the largest churches in America, many of which have television ministries, but they show the wild mockery of God and drunken debauchery that took place in the influential ministry of the Toronto Airport impartation. Preachers are slapping spirits (they claim the Holy Spirit) into the heads of lunatics who then wail, twitch, babble, or fall down in rows like dominoes. The Prophecy Club®, which once promoted false prophets for filthy lucre, later expanded to include the gaining of filthy lucre by “teaching” people how to physically transfer “the spirit” into others by whacking them on the head.
Meanwhile, most Christians who do not fall for this demoniacal behavior or the leftist attack on the church, live in a fantasy world of deception, apathy, and willful ignorance. Anti-Christian public servants are called our leaders, and are even thought of as being Christians in spite of massive bodies of evidence to the contrary. Pseudo-Christian parachurch organizations can endorse pro-abortion candidates and still convince Christians that they are worthy of support. New Agers, Masons, and other New World Order activists are supported by empty-headed “conservative” Christians with no discernment. These dumbed down “conservative” Christians are as ruled and controlled by the godless media as are the liberal Christians, and they form their opinions of their public servants solely based on what they hear being spoken on their boob tubes with no regard whatsoever for evidence to the contrary. They can even allow an apostate one-world religion advocate who is even a member of the Council on Foreign Relations to take over their churches as Rick Warren has done.
We also hear plenty of Christianity-professing lunatics on the so-called far right on the radio. Identity preachers who are not saved and do not witness at all, claim that blacks are not fully human, the flood was local, and that no one is saved unless they pronounce the name of Jesus according to the Aramaic pronunciation and mispronounce God’s name in the manner suggested by atheist scholars of the 19th century. Silly and catty female radio hosts knowingly promote Bible perversions that use witchcraft symbols on their covers, and they tell their audiences that they are defending God’s word. An even sillier male talk show host can promote chanting secret Bible codes in order to save the world and to be granted ones desires by buying his computer prayer program (much like Tibetan prayer flags, which are claimed to pray into the wind for the devotee in absentia). Satan is the prince of the power of the air and these “right-wing” New Age loonies are as good of servants for him as are his loonies on the left.
It is not surprising that the NIV and other modern versions promote and endorse the lunacy of the modern church by the way that they twist 2 Corinthians 5:13, but the real word of God actually says something quite different. I will repeat what the inspired version states:
“For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.”
An opposition between letting oneself go, and controlling ones emotions is the essence of the two contrasting clauses. This first clause refers to an excited or ecstatic sate of mind, as opposed to a sober, or completely calm and serious, state of mind. It does not refer to insanity. The Bible-believing Christian may seek an excited and joyfully exuberant state of being when sobriety is not more appropriate, but not the lunacy suggested by the NIV’s perverted translation. The modern rock and rolling church-goer has followed the suggestion of the NIV and has helped to turn the modern church into an insane asylum. This church is certainly not in its right mind, nor is it sober. P.O.D. and their fans may be the best evidence that we have of this. In fact a fan letter addressed to P.O.D. that I read a few weeks ago (I do not know if it is still to found there) stated “You guys are insane!!!! Keep spreading the message!!!!” In other words, to the Christian rock fans, being insane is a good thing, and spreading insanity is their true goal, not spreading the Gospel (which is obvious in the case of P.O.D.).
I checked many modern versions and all of them except for the ASV distorted this verse to refer to sanity versus insanity, or a sound mind versus an unsound mind.
ESV: For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
NASB: For if we are (A)beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
CEV: If we seem out of our minds, it is between God and us. But if we are in our right minds, it is for your good.
NLT: If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.
MESSAGE: If I acted crazy, I did it for God; if I acted overly serious, I did it for you.
AMPLIFIED: For if we are beside ourselves [mad, as some say], it is for God and concerns Him; if we are in our right mind, it is for your benefit,
NEW LIFE VERSION: Are we crazy to talk like this? It is all because of what God has done. If we are using our minds well, it is for you.
Not surprisingly the New King James Version shares in this push for lunacy: “For if we are out of our mind, (A) it is for God; if we have a sound mind, (B) it is for you.” Of course, no one in his right mind would knowingly use a Bible with a witchcraft symbol on its cover and/or title page and call himself a Christian.
The Greek texts read: “eite gar exesthmen thew eite swfronoumen umin.”
The first word is exestémen from the verb existemi, which means to be outside of oneself. This is verb from which ecstasy is derived. This refers to being in a state of amazement or astonishment, or ecstasy, or of being enthralled, excited, or exuberant. The King James translation of being “beside oneself” is literal and still means to be amazed, astonished, or shocked in modern English. Nowhere does existemi refer to insanity in the New Testament, as can clearly be seen in the following examples.
Mark 2:12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
Mark 6:51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
Mark 16:8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
Luke 5:26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
Acts 2:7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Mark 5:42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
Luke 2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Luke 24:22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 12:16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
All of these uses were clearly intended as being positive. Only an intellectual cripple or a willful deceiver would insinuate that any of these verses, including 2 Cor 5:13, are referring to insanity. All of the popular modern versions did exactly that, either by blatantly implying insanity or unsoundness in the first clause, or by positing sanity or sound mindedness in the second clause in opposition.
The term may also be used in a negative sense, in which case it means to be bewitched or stymied (a form of amazement), but these few occurrences are not treated as positive as the modern versions imply by translating the 2 Cor verse as they do. They are clearly being amazed in a negative sense, and even here insanity is not implied.
Acts 8:9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
Acts 8:11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
The NIV translates existon as “amazed” in Acts 8:9. “Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great. ” The one occurrence of the verb that does relate to lunacy, as defined by the New Testament, is the one that is translated as it should have been in 2 Cor 5:13! Talk about calling “evil good, and good evil!”
The modern versions handlings of the second clause is just as puzzling. The opposite of being amazed is not being sane or sound of mind, it is to be sober or serious as the word in question, sophronoumen states. A Christian may, and should, get excited and show joy over his salvation and new found reason for joy, however, there also are times for sober-mindedness. Times of dealing with the sinful state of the world, and the fate of unredeemed sinners are cause for seriousness, or the suffering of others is not for exuberance. Also too much unrestrained joviality and prankishness, and any amount of drunkenness, are signs of foolishness and they dishonor God. The following verses make it quite clear what sophronoumen means in 2 Corinthians 5:13:
1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
Titus 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
Titus 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
The only case in the KJV where a form of this adjective is translated as being “in his right mind” is in reference to a man who had devils cast out him through Jesus. After they left him he became calm
Mark 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Luke 8:35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
This case (both describe the same incident) refer to a man who became calm and normal after being wild due to possession by devils. It is in clear opposition to his previous state and has no relevance to the above quoted references in the Epistles. Of course, the average rock and rolling Christian and many new version Bible users would relate more to the situation of the demoniac of the land of Gadarenes than they would to the situation of Paul and the other apostles. It should be noted that the biblical explanation of lunacy is devil possession. Our word for lunatic is actually derived from the Greek word for moonstruck, and is related to devil possession: Matthew 17:15 “Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.” There is no crazy or insane behavior in the New Testament without demonic possession. That is unless you use modern versions like the NIV. So, in essence, if a professor of Christianity declares himself to be crazy, he is declaring himself to be possessed of devils, and not a Christian at all.
I learned how accurate of a description of rock and rolling, NIV-using (and other modern versions) church-goers that this is after I hired a young member of an NIV-using church that teaches salvation through baptism. Throughout the morning he had a blaring thought prevention device (walkman) attached to his head while listening to rap. For over an hour he would cry out the foulest of exhortations, such as: “**** you, you **** hoe,” “I’ll cut your throat, you ****,” or “I’ll rape you and your ***** mother, you ****.”
Between these violent and sexually explicit mutterings, he would interject contrary cries, such as: “Praise, you Jesus,” and “I love you, Lord Jesus.”
When I questioned him about his behavior he became violently psychotic and only my failure to display fear kept him off of me, but he continued to swear and curse for hours before I was able to drive him home.
Interestingly, the night before he asked me to lend him a Bible for the evening. A few minutes after I lent him my KJV he cried out that he wanted an NIV. After I refused, he gave me back the KJV. This product of a rock and roll-advocating church and former “Christian” school student could not handle God’s word, but had no problem with the copyrighted Bible of Rupert Murdoch and his pornographer, sodomite and Satanist friends. He was much like the church-going student of a “Christian” school in Columbus that stuck his tongue out at me while brandishing the satanic salute with both hands while I was street preaching in front of a Marilyn Mansion concert.
The young female fan of P.O.D., who I pray will walk away from the place where she is at this time, which she appears to recognize to be a lunatic asylum, has hit the nail upon the head, but she has been completely misled by her use of a perverted and incompetent translation into believing that lunacy is a good thing. The modern version “translators” may have mistranslated this passage for the purpose of justifying their own insanity, or for the purpose of promoting insanity in order to advance the New World Order of the Antichrist. It might also be that they have done so through God’s intervention in order that he could warn those who are still sane, and who have eyes to see and ears to hear, that the modern false church has become the craziest of lunatic asylums. In any event, in the unperverted and inspired word of God, which is preserved in the King James Bible, there is no passage that justifies, promotes, or condones insanity. That is another reason why the KJV is so hated by the modern church, and rock and rollers in particular. It is also the guidebook for those who wish to seek or return to sanity. I pray that more will discover this before the modern versions guide them so deep into the world of insanity that they cannot return.
